Located on the bright side of the bay on Park Boulevard in the East Lake neighborhood of Oakland, CA, Brightside Barbell offers a variety of group strength and conditioning classes. Our group fitness classes include Functional Fitness, Weightlifting, Bodybuilding, & Powerlifting. For athletes with specific goals, we also offer customized Personal Training. Just looking for casual community fitness classes? Try one of our weekly Pilates classes or our monthly Community Workout classes. Learn more about our offerings below.

Schedule a FREE Consultation

All prospective members start with a  15 minute free consultation with Head Coach and Co-Owner, Coach Brooks. We'll discuss your goals and workout/injury history, we'll explain the services we offer, and then we'll answer any questions you may have.

Complete
Brightside Fundamentals

New athletes join our Brightside Fundamentals program.

In this 4 week program, new athletes will learn how to safely perform the most common movements utilized in our group classes. Have 6 months previous experience? Ask us about waiving this requirement.

Become an
Unlimited Member

Our membership plans are simple; pay monthly and attend any class on the schedule, as often as you'd like. No long-term contracts required. Choose from two prices: Standard or our "pay-it-forward" Community Sustainer rate to support our sliding scale services.
